I've conquered for Cancer Council
I’m walking for a cancer free future - in memory of my Grandad
I’m taking on 7 Bridges Walk on Sunday 22 October 2023 and will be uniting with the community to walk 28km around Sydney Harbour.
I’m walking in memory of my Grandad - John Huzzey. He was the head of the family and has left a very big hole.
He had a large mass growing in his abdomen and diagnosis was delayed due to huge strain on the NHS during COVID. He was diagnosed with terminal sarcoma cancer in March 2022 and he passed away on Christmas Eve that same year.
He is now buried in the fields of his beloved dairy farm in Dorset UK.
I want to help with fundraising so that other families do not need to experience the same loss in the future.
So far this year I’ve helped provide:
64 kids with a SunSmart education
44 calls to trained cancer professionals on 13 11 20
13 days of a PHD student’s world-class research
