I’m walking for a cancer free future

I’m taking on 7 Bridges Walk on Sunday 22 October 2023 and will be uniting with the community to walk 28km around Sydney Harbour. 

Back in the day my grandfather was diagnosed with bowel cancer a mere 6 weeks before it claimed his life. Although we have come a long way since in prevention, early detection, and treatment of many cancers, there were still an estimated 162,163 cases of cancer diagnosed in Australia last year. I have been shocked and saddened by the number of people in my life affected by cancer, including young people. 

Cancer Council uses donated funds towards crucial research, prevention campaigns, advocacy and support for those touched by cancer. The impact of cancer on families, carers and communities is significant.
