VOLUNTEERS

It is that time of the year again! We are calling on all our incredible volunteers, friends and family to be a part of 7 Bridges Walk 2022.

With a 28km course, 7 bridges, 6 Villages and thousands of participants, we certainly need a hand!

By volunteering your time you can contribute directly to raising money which provides services and support to the 1 in 2 Australians affected by cancer by the age of 85. Gather your work colleges, friends and family and become part of the 2022 team in celebration of encouraging an active lifestyle, community engagement and supporting Cancer Council.

Roles

EVENT CREW

We require volunteers at positions all around the course and villages including Milsons Point, Pyrmont, Rozelle, Hunters Hill, Lane Cove and Wollstonecraft. as well as at the seven iconic bridges. Positions available are as follows:

  • Village Team Leader
  • Village Ticket Scanner
  • Bridge Stamp Point Crew
  • Course Marshall
  • Event Team Assistants

CHARITY CREW

Volunteers will support participants on the day at each Village. You will follow instructions from Cancer Council staff or the Village Team Leader and assist with:

  • Activations and event support - assisting with set up, execution and pack down of all Cancer Council actvities, including the collection of donations
  • Information and directions - providing information to participants, i.e. village amenities and bus stops
  • SunSmart - giving out sunscreen to participants
  • Encouragement - encouraging walkers to make their way around the course
