I've conquered for Cancer Council
Why I'm doing the walk, in honour of my Sister 💛☀️
Last year, my sister Katie (in my profile pic!) was diagnosed with osteosarcoma and had a pretty intense surgery to fix it all up. Now she's become 98% human, 2% robot. By the time the walk comes, she will be 12 months through her 18 month recovery. From visiting her in hospital to watching her figure out how to walk again, I am beyond grateful and excited to be able to do this walk alongside her and our loved ones (The Stride Squad!), to celebrate her resilience and her recovery. What a privilege that we can all walk, so we are exercising our ability to do just that. The walk is taking place on 26 October 2025, 1 year after she returned home from her stay in hospital. I’m taking on 7 Bridges Walk on Sunday 26 October 2025 and will be uniting with the community to walk 28km around Sydney Harbour.
Every year in NSW alone, more than 53,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed and the impact on families, carers and communities is significant.
