Stop the list growing!!

Every year, when I take part in the 7Bridges for the Cancer Council, I find myself thinking about the same thing.

The list.

The list of names.

The people we have loved, laughed with, shared memories with and, then had to say goodbye to.

And every year, that list gets a little longer. 

Cancer has a cruel way of making itself part of our lives. It doesn't care who you are, how old you are, what plans you have, or how many people love you. It can arrive without warning and change everything.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, is a step towards a future where fewer families have to add another name to their list.

So this fundraiser is for EVERYONE;

For the people we remember

For the people still fighting.

For the families standing beside them.

And for the hope that one day, this list won't need any new names.

I’m walking for a cancer free future

I’m taking on 7 Bridges Walk on Sunday 25 October 2026 and will be uniting with the community to walk 28km around Sydney Harbour. 

Every year in NSW alone, more than 56,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed and the impact on families, carers and communities is significant.
