I've conquered for Cancer Council
Walking in Memory
Our family are heartbroken, after 6 months of fighting this terrible cancer head on, Shamus passed away last Friday. We will now be walking in his memory and we will push ourselves into the uncomfortable, every step is for him. A cherished Husband, Daddy, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend. He was one of a kind and so loved and special to us all. Rest Easy Shamoo xxI’m walking for Shamus and in memory of my mum
In March this year our family was rocked with the life changing news that my brother in-law, Shamus has stage 4 bowel cancer. My sister in law and I want to attempt some of this walk in honour of Shamus and raise funds for research and cancer support.
I am also walking in memory of my mum and the so many others that are impacted by these terrible diseases.
I’m taking on 7 Bridges Walk on Sunday 25 October 2026 and will be uniting with the community to walk 28km around Sydney Harbour.
Every year in NSW alone, more than 56,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed and the impact on families, carers and communities is significant.
Please sponsor me and help those affected by cancer. Every step counts because all funds raised will help Cancer Council NSW work towards the vision of a cancer free future. Thank you for your support!

20 calls to trained cancer professionals on 13 11 20
26 hours of a research assistant's time to work on research we fund
