Overwhelmed by Your Generosity ❤️
I honestly don’t know how to put into words how I’m feeling right now.
It hasn’t even been 24 hours since I shared my fundraising page with my family and friends, and already the donations have reached $4,000. I have been completely overwhelmed by the generosity, love and support that has come my way.
In fact, I had to increase my fundraising goal twice last night just to make room for the donations I was anticipating — something I never imagined I would have to do!
I started this fundraiser simply wanting to do something meaningful in memory of my beautiful Mum, who passed away from cancer in Malaysia just over a year ago. I’ve walked the 7 Bridges Walk for many years, but this year feels very different. I’ll be walking those 28km with Mum in my thoughts and with a very full heart.
To everyone who has donated, sent me a message, shared my page, or simply taken the time to read my story — thank you. It means a lot to me. Your kindness means more to me than I can say.
Every donation will help Cancer Council continue its important work in cancer research, prevention, support and care, and knowing that Mum’s memory is helping contribute to something that may make a difference to others affected by cancer, is incredibly special to me.
I am truly humbled by the response. What started as a small personal tribute to Mum has become something so much bigger, and I am incredibly grateful to have such wonderful people around me.

I’ve walked the Cancer Council 7 Bridges Walk for many years, but this year it has a much deeper meaning for me.
I’m walking in honour of my beautiful Mum, who sadly passed away from cancer just over a year ago. Mum fought incredibly hard for 16 months throughout her battle with cancer. She did everything her doctors and medical team asked of her and never gave up. She fought right until the very end. That determination was so much a part of who Mum was. Always a tough woman, having experienced difficult times during her childhood, and she carried that strength with her throughout her life. She was resilient, strong-willed and never one to give up easily. I'm incredibly proud of the way she faced her illness with such courage and determination.
Cancer has touched so many families, including mine, and I’d love to turn my walk this year into an opportunity to help Cancer Council continue its important work in cancer research, prevention, support and care.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will mean so much to me and will help make a difference to others affected by cancer.
I’ll be walking the 28km
7 Bridges course on Sunday 25 October with Mum very much in my thoughts. ❤️
