I've conquered for Cancer Council

Why I walk

It’s a small gesture of care for thousands suffering from the disease. My mum happened to pass away at the end of October, more than 30 years ago. So, every October, apart from feeling sad about losing my mum, I want to use this time to reflect and be grateful to have such a great mum, to be alive, and to be able to help just a little. And most importantly to be grateful for all the friends and families I have. Love you all!

Almost didn’t… glad I did

To be honest with you, I wasn’t gonna post the donation link this year, as I felt I shouldn’t be bothering everyone on this every year,  but a friend of mine insisted I should, as she was actually waiting for me to post so that she can donate to support the organization and this event. Thank you for this wonderful friend’s encouragement!

A Fresh Reminder

A few weeks ago, Flu A left me bedridden for five days. Feeling that brief dip in energy felt miserable, but it gave me a profound reality check. My bout with the flu is nothing compared to battling cancer, but it gave me a sudden, heavy reminder of how my mom must have felt during her treatments. [1]
While I’ve always looked forward to the annual 7 Bridges Walk, this sickness serves as a powerful reminder of why it matters. It is a vital reminder of our mission to raise awareness and support the families fighting this disease every single day. Let’s hope for a cancer-free world. [1, 2]

#7BridgesWalk #CancerCouncilNSW #CancerFreeFuture

I’m walking for a cancer free future

I’m taking on 7 Bridges Walk on Sunday 25 October 2026 and will be uniting with the community to walk 28km around Sydney Harbour.

Every year in NSW alone, more than 56,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed and the impact on families, carers and communities is significant.

Please sponsor me and help those affected by cancer. Every step counts because all funds raised will help Cancer Council NSW work towards the vision of a cancer free future. Thank you for your support!

So far this year I’ve helped provide:

358 kids with a SunSmart education

or

13 calls to trained cancer professionals on 13 11 20

or

17 hours of a research assistant's time to work on research we fund

Thank you to my Sponsors
