In honour of my beloved father

Every year I proudly take part in fundraising for the Cancer Council in honour of my beloved Papa, who lost his courageous battle 16 years ago with squamous cell carcinoma of the brain and ear canal. I also walk for every woman and man battling cancer, especially those facing breast cancer.

This year also marks an incredible 26 years in remission. Twenty-six years ago, l was told to get my affairs in order because my cancer was considered too aggressive  and had spread. Thankfully,  God had other plans for me and guided my amazing specialist and team to heal me. For that miracle, I will be forever grateful.

What an amazing journey it has been. I have been blessed with incredible adventures, unconditional love, unforgettable memories, and yes, heartache and sorrow along the way.

Every experience has shaped me into the stronger, more compassionate person I am today.

I am deeply thankful for the love, encouragement, and unwavering support of my beautiful family and treasured friends. You have carried me through the darkest days and celebrated the brightest ones with me. I am truly blessed.

To everyone who is battling cancer, living with cancer, caring for someone with cancer, or remembering a loved one lost to this disease-my heart is with you.

Keep believing, keep fighting, and never lose hope .

I’m walking for a cancer free future

I’m taking on 7 Bridges Walk on Sunday 25 October 2026 and will be uniting with the community to walk 28km around Sydney Harbour. 

Every year in NSW alone, more than 56,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed and the impact on families, carers and communities is significant.
