I've conquered for Cancer Council

I’m walking for a cancer free future

This year, I’m taking on the 7 Bridges Walk on Sunday 26th October 2025 and will be uniting with the community to walk 28km around Sydney Harbour, to raise funds for cancer research—something that means more to me than I can put into words.

Many years ago, my family and I lost my uncle to renal cancer. Watching someone I loved go through such a devastating illness left a lasting mark on me. It was a turning point that not only deepened my compassion but also shaped the direction of my life.

That experience lit a fire in me—a determination to do more than just hope for better treatments. It inspired my career pathway into science, cancer diagnostics, and medical technology, where I now have the privilege of working on solutions that aim to detect cancer earlier and give families more time with the people they love.

Walking these bridges isn’t just about covering kilometres - it’s about bridging the gap between heartbreak and hope. Every step I take honours my uncle’s memory and supports the researchers, doctors, and patients who continue the fight against cancer every day.

Every year in NSW alone, more than 53,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed and the impact on families, carers and communities is significant.

I would be incredibly grateful for your support. Whether it’s a small donation or simply sharing this page, together we can help fund research that changes - and saves - lives.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me.

So far this year I’ve helped provide:

19 kids with a SunSmart education

or

0 calls to trained cancer professionals on 13 11 20

or

0 hours of a research assistant's time to work on research we fund
