A walk for mum

Today, my sisters, our honorary mum, and I walked 28 kilometres around Sydney — seven bridges, seven years, one beautiful reason.

Seven years ago, we lost our mum. And with every year since, life has kept moving — new homes, new babies, new dogs, new memories — all the things she’s missed, and all the love she left behind.

At each bridge today, we stopped to remember a year without her. The milestones, the laughter, the heartbreak, the moments she would’ve been front row for. We shared stories, tears, and smiles — because even though she’s been gone seven years, she’s never really left us.

This walk wasn’t just about the kilometres. It was about connection — to her, to each other, and to the cause that gives families more time together.

We walked for Mum, and for everyone touched by cancer.

I’m walking for a cancer free future

I’m taking on 7 Bridges Walk on Sunday 26 October 2025 and will be uniting with the community to walk 28km around Sydney Harbour. 

Every year in NSW alone, more than 53,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed and the impact on families, carers and communities is significant.
