Finish line!

I've conquered 28km for Cancer Council

Walking - Day 2

Again Sydney put on great weather and the final 10kms was a breeze. Found some interesting sculptures along the way as I made my way from Circular Quay hugging the Botanical Garden shoreline, pass the Domain onto Hyde Park, briefly saying hi to Pyrmont bridge and following the shoreline to Barangaroo reserve, before on a whim deciding to walk inside the Walsh Bay art precinct and coming upon sculptures, onto Campbell Cove before taking the bridge back to Milson Pt, my traditional ending point.

Feeling happy I can again complete the 7Bridges walk, already looking forward to next year's one as I know every step taken is a step towards a cancer free future

Walking, walking, walking - Day 1, 24th Oct

Bright and early to start my walk. Decided on walking over 2 days - good decision due to an unforseen blister appearing cos of poor choice in socks - d'oh!

Was a beautiful spring day, not too hot and not too cold, very enjoyable 'stroll' of what Sydney has to offer.

I’m walking for a cancer free future

Come 24th October I will once again be walking 28km for people impacted by cancer.

Covid-19 wrecked havoc last year and has done the same this year. However Cancer has never gone away nor is there a vaccine that can be taken to prevent or minimise its effects. It lives on as a quiet invader taking people's lives at a whim or leaving them to battle it out, whilst family and friends watch on helpless to do anything but stay strong and support them through it all.

Don't get me wrong there are always positive stories from all the negatives but without the help of organisations like Cancer Council, the negatives can be overwhelming.

Cancer Council is one of the organisations driving Research programs, Advocacy campaigns, Patient, family and friends support and much more. All this wouldn't be possible without the generous donations from us the public. So I hope you will join me in supporting this important work, a few dollars in loose change will make a huge difference in the lives of all those impacted by cancer.
