I've conquered for Cancer Council

Walking 28 km for My Mum

This year, I’m taking part in the 7 Bridges Walk in NSW, walking 28 km to raise funds for Cancer Council NSW.

For me, this isn’t just another charity event. It’s personal.

My mum is a cancer survivor.

She went through one of the toughest periods imaginable when she was diagnosed and underwent treatment during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was already an incredibly difficult time for everyone, but facing cancer during a period of uncertainty, isolation and fear made it even harder.

Thankfully, we were truly blessed. Her treatment went smoothly, and more importantly, it was very effective. Seeing her go through that journey, and eventually come out the other side as a cancer survivor, is something I will always be grateful for.

Cancer doesn't only affect the person diagnosed. It affects the entire family — the worry, the uncertainty, the long days, and the hope that everything will be okay. At the same time, my mum's experience also showed me how important effective treatment, medical research and support can be.

That is why I decided to take on this 28 km walk.

Every kilometre will be a reminder of my mum's journey and of how fortunate we are to have her with us today. I also want to help support other families who are going through what my family once went through.

If you would like to support my walk, any donation — no matter how big or small — would mean a lot to me and my family. More importantly, it will help Cancer Council NSW continue its work in cancer research, prevention and support for people affected by cancer.

28 km might be a long walk, but compared with the journey my mum went through, it is a small challenge that I’m proud to take on.

For Mum, for every cancer survivor, and for every family still fighting. ❤️

I’m walking for a cancer free future

I’m taking on 7 Bridges Walk on Sunday 25 October 2026 and will be uniting with the community to walk 28km around Sydney Harbour.

Every year in NSW alone, more than 56,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed and the impact on families, carers and communities is significant.

Please sponsor me and help those affected by cancer. Every step counts because all funds raised will help Cancer Council NSW work towards the vision of a cancer free future. Thank you for your support!

So far this year I’ve helped provide:

9 kids with a SunSmart education

or

0 calls to trained cancer professionals on 13 11 20

or

0 hours of a research assistant's time to work on research we fund

Thank you to my Sponsors
