I've conquered for Cancer Council
I’m walking for a cancer free future
I’m taking on 7 Bridges Walk on Sunday 22 October 2023 and I'll be walking in honour of my beautiful partner Maxine who unfortunately lost her battle with bowel cancer in April this year. Max was so brave and fought so hard, we are all so proud of her and we miss her so much. She was very special to me and this is something I want to do in memory of her. I'll also be walking in honour of my sister Robyn, who lost her battle with cancer 20 years ago this November. I'll be walking as part of a team "Austin Powers 2023". Maxine's friend Karen Austin has put the team together and we will be striving to fundraise as many funds as possible, with a chance of having the Harbour Bridge named after Max for a day if we can raise enough money. We will be uniting with the community to walk 28km around Sydney Harbour.
Every year in NSW alone, more than 53,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed and the impact on families, carers and communities is significant.
