We’re walking for a cancer free future
We are a group of mum's and teens taking on the 7 Bridges Walk on Sunday 26th October 2025. We will be uniting with the community to walk 28km around Sydney Harbour.
Most of us likely have family members or friends who have unfortunately suffered from cancer and their lives and their families lives have changed forever. Going through this journey is physically, mentally and financially challenging, with so many unknown variables. Thankfully, cancer research has produced some wonderdrugs, with many termianlly-ill patients who are enjoying a longer disease-free survival. This is only possible by continuing medical research, increased awareness of cancer symptoms and having good surveillance programs to catch them early. There is still a lot of work to be done. We as a group endeavour to help this noble cause by fundraising.
Every year in NSW alone, more than 53,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed and the impact on families, carers and communities is significant.
