I've conquered for Cancer Council
Our Beth
When Bethany was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer she was just about to turn 29. All investigations into her symptoms led in multiple directions until our GP noticed something on an x-ray. We were so grateful to the team that went into action for her care from that day and how as a family we continue to be supported a year since her death at 30yrs of age.Cancer isn't always the dreaded death sentence it was for our daughter, or once was for so many. Along with other organisations, the cancer council is there for the journey in so many ways.
The 7 bridges walk is for me, part of my grieving story. I set myself a goal to improve my own health and especially to honour those affected by Cancer. In building awareness for all facing the reality that life is fragile and precious, I pray my efforts for this event will add to the story of hope even in grief.
I’m walking for hope in the face of Cancer
I’m taking on 7 Bridges Walk on Sunday 20 October 2024 and will be uniting with the community to walk 28km around Sydney Harbour.
Every year in NSW alone, more than 53,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed and the impact on families, carers and communities is significant.
Please sponsor me and help those affected by cancer. Every step counts because all funds raised will help Cancer Council NSW work towards the vision of a cancer free future. Thank you for your support!
