Cancer - Enemy still on the loose!
It's the 10th anniversary of my mother's death from Ovarian Cancer. Last year a school mate's wife was diagnosed with O.C. and is now in palliative care!
A cure is needed! So is a reliable early detection method!
Nearly 1,100 Australian women are dying EACH YEAR from O.C. I'll be carrying an 11kg backpack over the 7 Bridges (28 km) again this year - 1kg for each 100 Aussie women who are dying each year from O.C.
It seems everyone's life is touched (in some way) by cancer. Let's generate funds for more medical research for solutions!!
If you are able, PLEASE donate to this fundraiser of the Cancer Council.
I’m walking for a cancer free future
I’m taking on the 7 Bridges Walk on Sunday 27 October and will be uniting with the community to walk 28km around Sydney Harbour.
Every year in NSW alone, more than 46,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed and the impact on families, carers and communities is significant.
Please sponsor me and help those affected by cancer. Every step counts because all funds raised will help Cancer Council work towards the vision of a cancer free future. Thank you for your support!
