I've conquered 28km for Cancer Council
Sisters walking to commemorate our beautiful Mum
It has been 10 years since our beautiful Mum lost her battle to ovarian cancer, too early at aged 64. We miss her every day but have comfort in the fact that we are both lucky to be here in Sydney together.
To commemorate the 10 year mark Jane and I hope to raise money to help all those affected by cancer, by completing the 7Bridges walk! This 28km walk around beautiful Sydney Harbour, over 7 bridges, up and down hills, through many suburbs, is at the end of October. Due to Covid this event is allowing people to walk independently, without the crowds- we plan to take photos of each bridge to show our progression on the route.
Every year in NSW alone, more than 46,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed and the impact on families, carers and communities is significant. 9 years ago we raised around $1200 for Ovarian Cancer, baking for hours , for a cake stall. Now it’s time to get walking!
