I've conquered for Cancer Council

I will always walk for Andy Hallas, a true friend, but this year I will also be walking for mum ...

I have walked the 27-kilometers 5 times, always in memory of Andy Hallas, who died too young and was a true friend, but this year I will also be walking for Mum, who died of cancer only 4 weeks ago, it still feels a bit raw.

Mum was 'one in a million', she died at the age of 87, with her family around her, she was only ill for about 12 weeks, she was never in pain and died with dignity, at home surrounded by everyone that loved her.  I was very fortunate to spend 2-weeks with her last month, it was a memory I will treasure, she was sassy to the end.  Miss you Mum and will think about you always .....
This is a charity I have always supported, I had stage-4 cancer myself 25 years ago and am one of the lucky ones still here, without research and funds more people will suffer, so I ask you today to give just a little to help, if we all give just a little it will make a massive difference, thank you xxxx
