But yesterday former Olympic swimmer Elka Graham and newsreader Mark Ferguson joined thousands of people who walked the walk —around Sydney Harbour. Graham swapped her cozzies for runners and Ferguson switched his suit and tie for shorts and a T-shirt for the annual Seven Bridges Walk. Now in its fifth year, the Leichhardt to Lane Cove circuit delighted Sydneysiders once again, with more than 12,000 people taking part for charity. And it was the NSW Cancer Council which had 250,000 reasons to smile. ‘‘We had heaps of people just turning up on the day which was fantastic and we’ve raised more than $250,000 for charity,’’ event spokeswoman Liza McNally said. ‘‘It’s an amazing result.’’
