Walk the bridges The Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of the bridges in the 25km Seven Bridges Walk THERE are no excuses - the weather's warming up and it's time to strut your stuff and stretch your legs. Registrations are now open for the fourth annual Cancer Council NSW Seven Bridges Walk on Sunday, October 31. About 20,000 enthusiastic walkers are expected to get active for a good cause and walk all, or a part, of the 25km course covering seven of Sydney's most iconic bridges - the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Pyrmont Bridge, Anzac Bridge, Iron Cove Bridge, Gladesville Bridge, Tarban Creek Bridge and Fig Tree Bridge. If the thought of walking the full 25km course leaves you feeling hot and bothered, you can start and finish at any of the bridges, then hop onto one of the free special event buses and ferries that will return you to your starting point. Food, refreshments and entertainment will be available along the way to help keep you powering along. Started by the Pedestrian Council of Australia in 2007, this year the Cancer Council NSW has become a naming partner. Funds raised from donations and the $10 adult registration fee will go towards vital cancer research, prevention and support services. Other proud supporting partners include Telstra, ASICS, QBE and the NSW Government, as well as media partner the Sunday Telegraph.
