Step out for a walk across iconic bridges SPRING has officially settled in and Sydneysiders are swapping their tracksuits and beanies for trackshoes and sunglasses as they venture outdoors to make the most of the warmer weather. Registrations are now open for the fourth annual Cancer Council NSW Seven Bridges Walk which is on Sunday, October 31. The event is set to attract up to 20,000 walking enthusiasts who can walk all, or just a portion, of the 25km course that crosses Sydney Harbour's seven iconic bridges the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Pyrmont Bridge, Anzac Bridge, Iron Cove Bridge, Gladesville Bridge, Tarban Creek Bridge and Fig Tree Bridge. There will be food, refreshments and entertainment along the way. The event will open at 8am and finish at 5pm. Dogs are welcome to join walkers if they are on a leash. This year the Cancer Council NSW is a naming partner for the event and funds raised from donations and the $10 adult registration fee will go toward their cancer research, prevention, information and support services. Supporting partners include Telstra, Asics, QBE and the NSW Government and media partner The Sunday Telegraph. Go to 7bridgeswalk.com.au for details.
