20,000 walkers tipped to hit the roads on Sunday IT'S time to see Sydney at its scenic best - from some of its most famous bridges. On Sunday, up to 20,000 enthusiastic walkers are expected to get active for a good cause and walk all, or a portion, of the Cancer Council NSW Seven Bridges Walk. If the whole 25km course - encompassing Sydney Harbour Bridge, Pyrmont Bridge, Anzac Bridge, Iron Cove Bridge, Gladesville Bridge, Tarban Creek Bridge and Fig Tree Bridge - is a little too daunting, free buses and ferries can return you to your starting point. This year the Cancer Council NSW has become a naming partner and funds raised from donations and the $10 adult registration fee will go towards cancer research, prevention and support services. Other supporting partners include Telstra, Asics, QBE and the NSW Government, as well as media partner The Sunday Telegraph. For more information see 7bridgeswalk.com.au. SEVEN BRIDGES walk Can you help? Volunteers are needed to help out at Sunday's big event. Each volunteer will receive an event T-shirt, cap, lunch pack and a certificate of appreciation. Register at 7bridgeswalk.com.au.
