Chris Reason and Kathryn Robinson are used to some friendly rivalry. After all. Chris is a newsreader for channel 7 and wife Kathryn fills the same role for Channel 10. So it's no surprise there will be a little push and shove between the pair when they embark on the Seven Bridges Walk next Sunday October 25. You see, someone will to push the pram occupied by their two-year-old twins, Sam and Lucy. We'll take turns but I'm hoping Kath's turns are a little longer than mine, Reason said tongue-in-cheek. The high-profile media couple jumped at the chance to take part in the seven bridges walk, especially as proceeds from the walk help benefit the NSW Cancer Council alongside the Heart Foundation, Diabetes Australia (NSW) and beyondblue. I work with the Cancer Council and when they asked if I wanted to take part, I had no hesitation. Reason said. Reason's ambassadorial role with the Cancer Council began in 2003 after recovery from a second bout of cancer. Diagnosed with testicular cancer in 1998, Reason then had tumours on his kidney and abdomen in late 2002. I came out of hospital in March 2003 and almost straight away began working with the Cancer Council. It was a very dark period of my life and I certainly wouldn’t wish those circumstances on anyone. That's why I want to help the Cancer Council spread the message that prevention is better than cure.
