After contemplating it for a couple of years, Oak Flats businesswoman Henny Williams and Michelle Green are putting their best feet forward in accepting the challenge of the Seven Bridges walk this month. Mrs Williams and Ms Green of Essential Bookkeeping Solutions will be among 12,000-15,000 people doing the walk on Sunday, October 25 and have encouraged other to join them. Now in its fourth year, the walk has raised more than $100,000 for its four nominated charities – the Heart Foundation, Diabetes Australia, the Cancer Council and Beyond Blue. Participants can start at any of the seven “villages” and walk as much of the 25km clockwise closed look circuit as they like taking in; the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Pyrmont Bridge, ANZAC Bridge, Iron Cove Bridge, Gladesville Bridge and the Fig Tree Bridge. Mrs Williams of Kiama Downs said the idea of the walk had long appealed to her. I just wanted to raise some money and all of the charities are really worthy causes she said. The women will be organising a bus to take people to and from the event. Walk entry is free but there will be a fee for the bus. Visit www.7bridgeswalk.com.au for more information about the walk. To join the gals, phone Henny on 0413 842 403 by Monday October 19 or visit www.everydayhero.com.au/ebs2009 to donate.
